Should schools ban junk food, wk5 t3
This week in writing we are learning about persuasive writing and our challenge is to write a persuasive piece of writing about if schools should ban junk food so here it is.
Why schools should ban junk food
Hello my name is Oscar and you might be thinking what is so bad about junk food? Junk food is high in fat and sugar. While it is delicious and convenient it is not good for you and you should only have small amounts.
What is the problem with junk food at school? Studies have shown that your body is working really hard to process the junk food because it's full of fat which reduces the oxygen level going to your brain. This means that students will have a harder time working as they will find it difficult to concentrate. Also Junk food makes it harder to work and listen.
At the moment if you bring junk food from home like candy and lollipops they will be confiscated but stuff like cake and cookies are fine but I think we should ban all junk food in school so we can concentrate with our work and give it our best. What are you having for lunch today?

Birthday statistical investigation
Today we collected data as a whole hub then copied it of the teachers and turned it into two different graphs. Our goal was to make a graph using two variables. My birthday is in September and guess how many people had the same month as me, 3 more people! I was so confused I thought there were more.
I used 2 cool bar graphs that are really unique. I will show them to you here is my graph.

My wonderful whanau
This week in Te Reo we are going to make a screencastify about my whanau and why it is important to talk about your family in your mihi pepeha. in the screencastify I talked about my tukana (big brother) my matua (dad) and my whaea (mum) this is my screencastify.
In Maori culture it is important to mention your family in your mihi pepeha that was our teachers question and in my screencastify I answered the question , this is what I said. It is important to mention your family because it tells people about you and they could become friends.
What is your answer too the question
